COLUMBUS, Ohio — With 6.3 seconds remaining in the third period, Ohio State sophomore right winger Tanner Laczynski scored the go-ahead goal as the Buckeyes defeated Niagara 3-2 at Value City Arena in Columbus, Ohio.
Ohio State jumped out to an early start as a pair of sophomores, defenseman Matt Miller and forward Sam McCormick tallied goals for the Buckeyes in the first five minutes of the first period.
Niagara clawed back into Friday’s game with a goal in the second. Then, senior defenseman James Roll tied the game at 2 with 14:43 left in the third period.
