WCHA suspends Alabama Huntsville's Saulnier two games for head contact penalty against Minnesota State

The WCHA on Monday announced a two-game suspension for Alabama Huntsville senior forward Brennan Saulnier.

The suspension is a result of Saulnier’s five-minute major penalty and game misconduct infraction for contact to the head-elbowing, which occurred at the 19:31 mark of the third period in Alabama Huntsville’s game of Saturday, Dec. 16, at Minnesota State.

“Upon review, the hit was delivered in a manner that warranted the suspension,” according to a news release.

Alabama Huntsville’s next two scheduled games are Friday, Dec. 29, and Saturday, Dec. 30, at Bemidji State.

Saulnier would be eligible to return for the Chargers’ game on Friday, Jan. 5, at Alaska.
