We’ve got a light weekend of action this weekend, and we are giving Nicole the weekend off. I did pick up another game on Nicole in our season race last weekend, as I went 19-3-2 (.833) while Nicole went 18-4-2 (.791). On the year, I am 195-65-39 (.717) while Nicole is 186-73-39 (.687).

Friday-Saturday, Dec. 15-16

Minnesota State at Bemidji State
The Beavers should have enough to get the sweep, though I expect the Mavericks to make it difficult. Bemidji State 3-2, 3-2

Ohio State at Mercyhurst
I like what I’ve seen of the Lakers of late, but that is against CHA teams. I expect Ohio State to finish its first half on a high note. Ohio State 3-2, 3-1

RIT at Union
The Dutchwomen could surpass their win total from last year this weekend. I think they do. Union 2-1, 2-1

As we go into the final weekend of the year, Matthew and I are dead even, thanks to me picking Minnesota Duluth last weekend to sweep Omaha. They didn’t, but they won on Saturday. Last week, I went a fairly dismal 2-3-3 (.437), while Matthew went 1-4-3 (.312). On the year, we are now both 56-31-13 (.625). We’ll both have the same record to start the second half too, because we both pick NCHC sweeps this weekend.

Friday-Saturday, Dec. 15

Dartmouth at No. 2 Denver
Candace: I expect that coach Montgomery laid into the Pioneers this week after two ties against Colorado College last weekend. Denver 4-1, 4-1
Matthew: Dartmouth is 0-5-1 on the road. I can’t see the first win(s) coming at Magness. Denver 3-1, 3-1

Arizona State at Colorado College
Candace: The Tigers looked very good against Denver. They could be in for a letdown, but I think they get it done. Colorado College 3-2, 3-1
Matthew: CC isn’t getting the results it was earlier in the season, but the Tigers played Denver close twice last weekend, and if they keep the effort up, I’ve got them sweeping here. Colorado College 3-2, 3-1
