Weekend wrap: Nov. 5

No. 4 Ohio State at No. 1 Wisconsin
There’s one less undefeated team as Wisconsin took down Ohio State in convincing fashion on Saturday. Six different Badgers scored en route to the 7-0 win. Wisconsin outshot the Buckeyes 20-1 in the first period and 42-14 overall. It was the most goals OSU goalie Kassidy Sauve had given up in her career. On Saturday, Alexis Mauermann scored her third goal of the weekend and captain Claudia Kepler scored against her former team to lead Wisconsin to a 3-1 win. Tatum Skaggs scored for the Buckeyes. Wisconsin is now 14-0-0 and has a 20-game home unbeaten streak.

No. 9 Providence at No. 2 Boston College
There were five first-period goals between these two as BC closed the opening frame up 3-2. Providence tied it just 3:31 into the second, but it was pretty much all Boston College from there. Caitrin Lonergan had two goals and an assist, while Daryl Watts added a goal and three assists for the Eagles. Brooke Boquist led the Lady Friars with a goal and an assist.

No. 2 Boston College at Syracuse
Goals from Stephanie Grossi and Savannah Rennie helped Syracuse to a 2-1 first-period lead. Lindsay Eastwood extended the Orange lead to 3-1 before Boston College scored three straight in the second, including power-play goals from Caitrin Lonergan and Toni Ann Miano, to take the game 4-3.

No. 3 Clarkson at Yale
Loren Gable had a goal and two assists as the Golden Knights won 4-0 on Friday night.

No. 3 Clarkson at Brown
Ten different players scored goals in Clarkson’s 11-1 win over Brown. Steph Rempe was the goal scorer for the Bears.

Princeton at No. 5 Colgate
Shelby Perry and Malia Schneider scored for the Raiders in the 2-0 win.

Quinnipiac at No. 5 Colgate
Jessie Eldridge, Bailey Larson, Annika Zalewski, and Shae Labbe gave Colgate a 4-0 lead by the beginning of the third period and Quinnipiac could not recover. Kenzie Prater was the lone goal-scorer for the Bobcats  in the 4-1 loss.

No. 6 Minnesota at Minnesota State
On Friday, six different Gophers scored en route to a 6-1 win. Grace Zumwinkle had a goal and three assists for Minnesota. On Saturday, five different Gophers lit the lamp. Lindsey Coleman and Hannah Davidson scored twice for Minnesota State, but it was not enough as Minnesota won 5-2.

No. 7 St. Lawrence at Brown
The Saints jumped out to a 4-0 lead before Brown worked to close the gap in the third. Rachael Smith had two goals and an assist for St. Lawrence in their 6-3 win.

No. 7 St. Lawrence at Yale
Yale scored first in each of the first two periods, but St. Lawrence tied the game twice before Kayle Nielsen’s third-period goal won it for the Saints.

Quinnipiac at No. 8 Cornell
Five of the goals were unassisted in this fast-paced game on Friday. Kristin O’Neill scored twice in the first period to help the Big Red to jump out to a 3-0 lead that Quinnipiac could not overcome. Cornell won 5-2.

Princeton at No. 8 Cornell
Madlynne Mills scored for Princeton and Carly Bullock tied it for Princeton in the first, but Pippy Gerace and Amy Curlew added third-period tallies for the Big Red to give them the 3-1 win.

No. 10 Robert Morris at Lindenwood
On Friday, 11 different Colonials tallied points en route to a 6-0 win. On Saturday, Emily Curlett and Brittany Howard put Robert Morris ahead before Cierra Paisley and Hannah Alt tied it at two for Lindenwood, but Amanda Pantaleo’s short-handed goal proved to be the game-winner in a 4-2 victory for Robert Morris.

Weekend wrap: Nov. 5

No. 1 Plattsburgh at Cortland
On Friday, Melissa Sheeran and Kayla Meneghin each scored twice to lead Plattsburgh to a 6-0 win. On Saturday, Meneghin netted three more while Charlie Calamari scored the lone goal for Cortland in the 8-1 loss.

No. 2 Adrian at Northland
On Saturday, five different players lit the lamp while 12 different skaters tallied points for Adrian in their 5-0 win. On Sunday, Samantha Scott and Amanda Abounader gave Northland a 2-0 lead heading into the final period. Brianna Buchanan and Jacqueline White scored for Adrian to force overtime and Allyson Reilly scored the game-winner just :19 into the extra period to give Northland the 3-2 win.

No. 3 Norwich at UMass Boston
These two combined for six third-period goals. Arielle Gallucci had UMass Boston up after one and Norwich’s Alyssa Hulst had the teams tied heading into the third. Adrieana Rossini scored twice on the power play in the final frame to lead Norwich to a 5-3 victory.

No. 3 Norwich at Salve Regina
Maki Schuchuk netted a hat trick, scoring a goal in each period to lead Norwich to a 5-1 win. Meredith Peppes was the lone goal-scorer for Salve Regina.

No. 4 Wisconsin River Falls vs. Bethel
On Friday, at home, Bethel scored the first goal, but Wis.-River Falls responded with four straight, including two by Jessie Anderson, to take a 4-1 lead into the second. Bethel scored the next three, but two third-period goals by Amy Auran helped the Falcons to a 7-5 win. Bri Stafne had two goals and an assist for Bethel. On Saturday in River Falls, Bethel again scored first, but couldn’t recover from the five straight Wis.-River Falls responded with to take the series sweep win a 5-2 win. Carly Moran had two goals and an assist in the win.

No. 4 Elmira at Oswego
Sara Hughson scored three straight for Elmira to lead them to a 4-1 victory. Jean-Marie Padden was the goal-scorer for Oswego.

No. 10 Wisconsin-Eau Claire at No. 7 Gustavus Adolphus
Twin sisters Emily and Elizabeth Bauer combined to get Wis.-Eau Claire on the board first. Kaitlyn Klein tied it for Gustavus in the second and Kelly Knetter gave the Blugolds the lead heading into the third with a goal just :11 before the horn. Diana Draayer tied the game for Adolphus in the third and 65:00 was not enough to decide a winner as this one ended 2-2.

Wisconsin-Stevens Point at No. 8 St. Thomas
Kate Winiecki and Rachel Werdin scored within :30 of each other in the second period and that proved to be enough to lead the Tommies to a 2-1 win.

Hamline at No. 10 Wisconsin-Eau Claire
Elizabeth Bauer had two assists for Wis.-Eau Claire as they won 3-0 on Thursday night.

Potsdam at Buffalo State
Natalie Wasielewski put Potsdam on the board just 1:55 into Friday’s game, but Buffalo State took control from there. Goals by Bri Carroll, Christine Harris, and Emma Ruggiero gave them the 3-1 win. On Saturday, Natasha Steinle had the loan first-period goal to give Buffalo State the lead, but Jenna Patterson scored in the second and Anna-Rose Bertin scored in the third to give Potsdam the 2-1 win and a weekend split.
