Former Omaha goaltender Dan Ellis will be inducted into the Omaha Hockey Hall of Fame on Jan. 20 at Ralston Arena. Ellis retired last spring after playing 212 NHL games during nine seasons, which was preceded by three years at UNO (then in the CCHA) from 2000 to 2003 where he went 52-50-12 with seven shutouts and a 2.69 GAA. He became the first UNO player ever to advance to the NHL as he earned a win in his first appearance for the Dallas Stars in 2003-04.
