Atlantic Hockey hands down one-game suspensions to Air Force’s Pluemer, Sacred Heart’s Hansen

Atlantic Hockey has issued one-game suspensions to Air Force’s Pierce Pluemer and Sacred Heart’s Coltyn Hansen.

The suspensions are a result of the league’s supplemental discipline protocol, which was activated after both Pluemer and Hansen received major penalties in Saturday’s games.

Pluemer received a major for kneeing in Air Force’s win over Niagara and Hansen received a major for contact to the head in Sacred Heart’s win over Mercyhurst.

Both players were also issued game misconducts.

After reviewing the game film, Atlantic Hockey officials determined each hit warranted an additional game suspension as supplemental discipline, making them unavailable for their team’s next games, which happens to be against each other.

Pluemer and Hansen will be ineligible to play on Friday, Dec. 30 as Air Force travels to take on Sacred Heart.
