Turgeon departs Nebraska-Omaha after three years, signs AHL contract

Nebraska-Omaha defenseman Tony Turgeon has signed a contract with the American Hockey League’s San Antonio Rampage and will forgo his senior season with the Mavericks.

Turgeon tallied six assists in 62 career games in Omaha – two assists each of the past three seasons.

The Grand Forks, N.D., native signed with the Rampage as an undrafted free agent.
