Northeastern announced on Wednesday that freshman forward Cam Darcy has left the school, citing personal reasons.
“On behalf of the entire Northeastern hockey community, I would like to wish Cam the best in his future endeavors,” Northeastern coach Jim Madigan said in a statement. “I enjoyed working with Cam and I believe he will have a successful future in whichever path he chooses.”
Darcy, one of nine true freshmen on Northeastern’s roster, skated in all nine games for the Huskies this season and registered two assists in NU’s win over Boston College on Oct. 13, 2012.
It is unknown where Darcy will continue his hockey career, but it may be in the United States Hockey League with the Muskegon Lumberjacks, according to HuskyHockeyNews.com. Muskegon added Darcy to its roster on Monday.
