Former Vermont forward Milo suing university

Former Vermont forward Justin Milo is suing the university, claiming that after he was cut from the team in 2010, the decision deprived him of his scholarship, his reputation and a promising career.

According to the Rutland Herald, UVM coach Kevin Sneddon told Milo he was cut because of his attitude and a perceived lack of commitment to the team.

Milo, now 25, is seeking unspecified damages, saying he lost thousands of dollars in financial aid.

Milo has played for three ECHL teams over the past two seasons and also played for three USHL teams prior to going to Cornell and then later transferring to UVM.
