With 44 first-place votes, Boston College has unseated Ferris State as the No. 1-ranked team in the USCHO.com Division I Men’s Poll.
Minnesota-Duluth received five first-place votes and moves to No. 2 this week, up from No. 4 a week ago.
Third-ranked Ferris State had the other first-place vote.
Boston University and Minnesota are tied for fourth this week, followed by Michigan falling three to No. 6, Union rising one to No. 7, Massachusetts-Lowell dropping one to eighth place, Denver staying ninth and Maine still tenth.
Miami jumps four spots to No. 11, Merrimack maintains the 12th spot, Cornell falls two to No. 13, North Dakota stays 14th and Michigan State drops two to No. 15.
At No. 16, Western Michigan is up three, Northern Michigan enters the rankings at No. 17 after not being ranked last week, Notre Dame retains the 18th spot, Colorado College falls three to No. 19 and previously-unranked Air Force comes in at No. 20.
The USCHO.com Division I Men’s Poll consists of 50 voters, including 28 coaches from the Division I conferences and 22 beat writers and sports professionals from across the country.
