Alaska-Anchorage junior forward and leading scorer Mickey Spencer has left the team, according to the Anchorage Daily News.
Spencer led the Seawolves with seven goals in 17 games and his 10 points tied him with sophomore center Jordan Kwas for the team lead.
UAA coach Dave Shyiak confirmed to the News that Spencer left the team, but no reason was given. Spencer is the second Seawolves skater to depart during this season as defenseman Wes McLeod left the team late in the first semester.
Spencer put up 13 goals and 23 points in 62 career games at Alaska-Anchorage.
“I’ve heard he may still attend school or maybe give the pros a try,” Shyiak said in the story.
