Notre Dame’s T.J. Tynan has been named national Division I rookie of the year by the Hockey Commissioners’ Association.
The forward led rookies nationally in the regular season with 19 goals and 47 points, including 14 multi-point games, en route to the CCHA’s rookie of the year award.
The award is selected in voting by the assistant coaches of the 58 Division I men’s teams.
Tynan is the first winner from the CCHA; Hockey East and the WCHA have had two winners each.
