According to a report in the Troy (N.Y.) Record, Rensselaer head coach Seth Appert has signed a contract extension that will go through the 2017-2018 season.
“I’m thrilled,” Appert said to the paper. “Thrilled to be here and to stay here. I love it here.”
The Engineers’ 20-12-5 record this season is the first time RPI has recorded back-to-back winning seasons in almost 10 years (2000-01 and 2001-02).
Appert and his squad will play in the Midwest Regional this weekend in Green Bay, the school’s first NCAA tournament bid since 1995.
