Michael Biega, Harvard: It was a close vote between the Crimson senior and North Dakota’s Matt Frattin, who put up seven points in a series against Michigan Tech. But given that Harvard was playing to keep its season season going and that Biega’s two goals both ended up being winners against Clarkson, he got the nod. :: Michael Biega’s player page

SECOND STAR

Kevin Kapalka, Lake Superior State: The Lakers goaltender stopped 76 of the 78 shots he faced in a first-round playoff series sweep of Ohio State. He shut out the Buckeyes for the first five periods of the series. :: Kevin Kapalka’s player page

FIRST STAR

Cam Atkinson, Boston College: In a series that determined the Hockey East regular season champion, the Eagles junior came up big. He scored twice on Friday to pull the Eagles ahead of New Hampshire in the standings, then added a goal and an assist in Saturday’s clincher. :: Cam Atkinson’s player page
