Four teams are in league action this weekend for a pair of games each. Manhattanville hosts Elmira at Playland Casino in one set.
The Valiants are desperate as they find themselves at the bottom of the standings despite having swept through non-conference play. Manhattanville can’t let any more games slip from its grasp.
Elmira, on the other hand, can keep control of its fate with a sweep of the Valiants.
In the other series, Utica hosts Hobart for two games. The Statesmen have played the fewest games in the league and look to get the stretch run off to a good start. The Pioneers have one of their most balanced teams in years but have struggled to finish off strong opponents.
I think the season trend will continue this weekend and have picked splits for both series. That should sufficiently muddy the waters enough to keep the standings very interesting.
With five teams, Neumann is the odd man out this weekend. The Knights get a break from league play and finish off their non-conference schedule at Brockport.
