Atlantic Hockey Picks 11/5/10

Last Week: 4-5 (.444)

On the Season: 17-12-1 (.583)

This Week’s Picks:

Friday November 5 and Saturday, November 6

Robert Morris at Holy Cross – Both teams are playing well right now, so I’m going with a split. Holy Cross 4, Robert Morris 3; Robert Morris 5, Holy Cross 3.

Canisius at Connecticut – This is a good series pitting a high powered offense (Canisius) against an improving defense (UConn). But I think  Canisius’ depth will be the difference. Canisius 3, UConn 1; Canisius 4, UConn 3.

Friday, November 5

Niagara at Northeastern – Northeastern will be determined not to lose a third straight game at home to an AHA team. Northeastern 3, Niagara 2.

Mercyhurst at Air Force – I expect a high scoring contest, with the Lakers needing this one more. Mercyhurst 5, Air Force 4.

Army at Massachusetts – Army leads this series, which goes back to 1948, 17-11-0 but the Minutemen have won the last four meetings. UMass 3, Army 2.

Saturday, November  6

AIC at Sacred Heart – Sacred Heart loses a bit of the home ice advantage with this one being played in Bridgeport. But I think the Pioneers get their first win of the season. Sacred Heart 4, AIC 2.

Sunday, November 7

RIT at Air Force – This has turned into quite the rivalry. The home team usually wins in this series. Air Force 3, RIT 2.
