Saturday Morning Observations/Bracket Prediction

We saw last night just how volatile and fragile Cornell’s top position in the PWR was.  We also saw how volatile a position Yale was in too.

Yale’s win over Cornell sent the Big Red into a three-way tie for fourth in the PWR and jumped Yale right into the Top 25, up 10 spots to 18 overall, of the PWR, where it subsequently won a few comparisons and landed in a tie for 17th.

You see this and then you look at the UNH-BU matchup where BU downs UNH and UNH does not move at all.  Makes you wonder about things sometimes.

Alaska is slumping now and sliding.  What looked real promising just three games ago is now in jeopardy of falling all apart.

And I know some of you are probably wondering where Minnesota-Duluth came from.

There’s still a long way to go.

Updated Bracket Prediction

Once you lay out the host teams and move it all around, it falls into place.

Games I’m Interested In Tonight

What am I interested tonight from a PWR perspective?

The two Hockey East clash between Maine and BC, as well as the rematch tomorrow.  Two on the bubble.  I’m not so much interested in BU-UNH, because as we saw on Friday night, a UNH loss didn’t matter too much.  But, as we know with the PWR, a loss by BU will matter more.

Denver at North Dakota.  The Sioux with a big win on Friday night and it didn’t change much.  But, I’d like to see if another win pushes North Dakota higher.

Brown at Cornell.  This is a game that Cornell should win, and if it does indeed do that, what happens to them in the PWR?
