The Quinnpiac Braves pounded the Fairfield Stags, 10-0, on Saturday evening as eight different Braves scored.
The Braves carried the play from the opening drop scoring three goals in the first, four in the second, and three in the third.
Eight Quinnipiac players had tallies including: Todd Bennett (2), Kevin Murray, Jed Holtzman, Ben Blaise, Wade Winkler, Chad Poliquin (2), Terry Harris, and Ryan Morton.
Fairfield starting goaltender Bill Whitfieldmade 16 saves through one and a half periods before being relieved by Greg Norcross who stopped 16 as well. Quinnipiac outshot the Stags 42-27 and were an impressive 3-8 on the power play.
Quinnipiac (7-1-2, 5-0-1 MAAC) will travel to Sacred Heart next Friday, and the Stags (1-6-0, 0-3-0 MAAC) will wait for the rematch between the two teams next Sunday.
