Canada took the gold medal at the Winter Olympics in Sochi on Sunday with a 3-0 win over Sweden.

And while the majority of Canada’s team was made up of major junior players, there were five players that saw time in the NCAA ranks.

Forwards Jonathan Toews (North Dakota), Chris Kunitz (Ferris State), Patrick Sharp (Vermont) and Martin St. Louis (Vermont) represented Canada, along with defenseman Duncan Keith (Michigan State).

Carl Hagelin, a former Michigan forward, was a member of Sweden’s silver medal-winning squad.

The United States finished fourth and out of the medals after losing to Finland 5-0 on Saturday in the bronze medal game.
