Boston College has added two players from the Boston Jr. Bruins program in goaltender Ian Milosz and defenseman Michael Kim.

The Jr. Bruins play in the United States Premier Hockey League.

Milosz, a 6-foot-7 goaltender from North Grafton, Mass., played 17 games this season, posting a 2.20 GAA and a .924 save percentage, while Kim, a Toronto native, was added to the Eagles’ roster just before the Florida College Hockey Classic Tournament and played against Providence on Tuesday, Dec. 29. Kim tallied 27 points on five goals and 22 assists this year with the Jr. Bruins.

Both Milosz and Kim were scheduled to attend Boston College next fall and be members of the 2016-17 incoming class, but as this year’s roster thinned out due to injuries and a departure, coach Jerry York looked to bolster the depth of his club.

“With an extended injury to Brendan Silk and the departure of Jeremy Bracco, we needed more depth on our roster,” York said in a news release. “Michael has already proven he can be a valuable asset and we welcome his presence to our lineup. Ian will be a valuable asset to our club. Due to an injury to goaltender Chris (Birdsall), Ian’s presence was needed for practice and we look for him to play an important role for our team here in the second half.”
