According to the Grand Forks Herald<\/i><\/a>, when North Dakota coach Dave Hakstol took the head coaching job with the Philadelphia Flyers<\/a> last week, it triggered a clause in his contract that will see him have to pay the university $100,000 for opting out of his deal before June 30, 2015.<\/p>\n The clause was reportedly inserted into Hakstol’s contract by UND athletic director Brian Faison.<\/p>\n The article also sates that if Hakstol was going to a minor league team or taking an assistant coaching job in the NHL, he would have owed $50,000.
