The NCHC handed out suspensions Saturday to Omaha’s Brian O’Rourke and Minnesota-Duluth’s Dominic Toninato.<\/p>\n
O’Rourke will sit out the Mavericks’ next two games after a head-contact penalty in Friday’s loss to Colorado College.<\/p>\n
The senior defenseman has played in 22 of Omaha’s 23 games this season, with three assists. He’ll miss Saturday’s game against the Tigers and the opener of a series against North Dakota on Jan. 30.<\/p>\n
Toninato, a sophomore forward, got a one-game suspension for a major kneeing penalty in Friday’s tie with Western Michigan.<\/p>\n
The Bulldogs’ leading scorer with 13 goals and 19 points, Toninato will sit out Saturday’s game against the Broncos.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
