Western New England has announced that Greg Haney has joined the program as head coach Greg Heffernan’s top assistant.<\/p>\n
Haney comes to Western New England after serving as a volunteer assistant coach last season at the National Sports Academy in Lake Placid. Before last year, Haney was a volunteer assistant at Cortland for two years, graduating in 2012 after playing for the Red Dragons his first three years.<\/p>\n
“I am very excited to have Greg join our program,” said Heffernan in a news release. “I know that our players will benefit from working with him every day.”<\/p>\n
During the off-season, Haney has worked as an instructor at the Can\/Am Hockey School for eight summers, as an assistant coach for the Syracuse Cougars Selects and at the U.S. Development Program Hockey School in Ann Arbor, Mich.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
