{"id":45121,"date":"2012-09-04T19:47:46","date_gmt":"2012-09-05T00:47:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.uscho.com\/?p=45121"},"modified":"2012-09-04T19:47:46","modified_gmt":"2012-09-05T00:47:46","slug":"pellegrini-named-new-assistant-for-northeastern-women","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wp-admin.uscho.com\/2012\/09\/04\/pellegrini-named-new-assistant-for-northeastern-women\/","title":{"rendered":"Pellegrini named new assistant for Northeastern women"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Northeastern has announced the hiring of Jeff Pellegrini as a new assistant coach for the Huskies&#8217; women&#8217;s program. <\/p>\n<p>Pellegrini was an assistant last season at Harvard.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I am very excited about the addition of Jeff to the coaching staff,&#8221; Northeastern coach Dave Flint said in a statement. &#8220;He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, is an extremely hard worker and will help us elevate our program to the next level.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I couldn&#8217;t be more excited to join a university with such a rich tradition in women&#8217;s hockey,&#8221; added Pellegrini. &#8220;I look forward to working with incredibly accomplished coaches in Dave and Linda [Lundrigan]. It&#8217;s an honor to coach at such a storied institution with extremely competitive and committed student-athletes and I will strive to continue the winning tradition here at Northeastern.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Prior to Harvard, Pellegrini was an assistant coach with the Bowdoin, Nichols and Massachusetts-Boston men&#8217;s teams and was also the inaugural head coach of the JWHL&#8217;s Boston Shamrocks. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Northeastern has announced the hiring of Jeff Pellegrini as a new assistant coach for the Huskies&#8217; women&#8217;s program.
