{"id":37929,"date":"2011-08-30T14:12:09","date_gmt":"2011-08-30T19:12:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.uscho.com\/?p=37929"},"modified":"2011-08-30T14:12:09","modified_gmt":"2011-08-30T19:12:09","slug":"fohr-leaves-nebraska-omaha-for-ntdp-assistants-position","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wp-admin.uscho.com\/2011\/08\/30\/fohr-leaves-nebraska-omaha-for-ntdp-assistants-position\/","title":{"rendered":"Fohr leaves Nebraska-Omaha for NTDP assistant&#8217;s position"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nick Fohr has been named assistant coach at USA Hockey&#8217;s National Team Development Program in Ann Arbor, Mich., and will help guide the U.S. National Under-17 Team in the 2011-2012 season. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Nick is highly regarded and will be a terrific addition to our coaching staff,&#8221; said NTDP senior director of operations Scott Monaghan in a statement. &#8220;He brings the energy, commitment and experience needed to help our players reach their full potential.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Very few people get the opportunity to represent their country on such a large stage,&#8221; added Fohr. &#8220;I&#8217;m extremely excited and look forward to getting started right away.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Fohr replaces Chadd Cassidy, who left to become an assistant coach with the American Hockey League&#8217;s Rochester Americans after five seasons at the NTDP.<\/p>\n<p>Fohr, who played at Nebraska-Omaha from 1998-2002, most recently completed his second stint at UNO as director of hockey operations. He previously served in the same position from 2004-2007 before working behind the bench as assistant coach for the Mavericks from 2007-2010.
