Almost six months later, Boston College is still No. 1.<\/p>\n

The Eagles, who won the 2010 NCAA championship in April, are the top team in the first USCHO.com Division I Men’s Poll of the 2010-11 season.<\/p>\n

They received 45 first-place votes from the panel of 50 coaches and media members to lead the way.<\/p>\n

North Dakota picked up three first-place votes to place second, while Miami got the top spot on two ballots and finished third.<\/p>\n

St. Cloud State and Michigan round out the top five.<\/p>\n

Boston College was 12th in last season’s inaugural poll before a season that ended with the school’s fourth national championship. This year, the No. 12 spot belongs to Alaska.<\/p>\n
