An uneventful week in the USCHO.com/CSTV Division I men’s poll saw Minnesota retain the No. 1 spot, though No. 2 Colorado College picked up a few first-place votes in the wake of its weekend sweep of Minnesota State.

The idle Gophers earned 33 of 40 first-place votes, while the Tigers took the remaining seven. The only shift from last week’s rankings involved Harvard, which leapfrogged now-No. 11 Ohio State to reach No. 10, despite both teams being off last week.

Minnesota and Harvard, along with Northern Michigan and Merrimack, will be in action Wednesday and Thursday as part of the Dodge Holiday Classic tournament. Those are the only games on the schedule this week.

All of the remaining positions in the poll were identical to last Monday’s rankings, with Michigan, Wisconsin and Boston College rounding out the top five. New Hampshire was sixth, followed by Denver, which took three of four points in a road series at Minnesota-Duluth.

North Dakota, which swept Canisius at home and lost an exhibition Sunday to the U.S. World Junior team, was eighth, followed by Cornell, Harvard and Ohio State.

Colgate, whose only action was an exhibition win over Ottawa, came in at No. 12, trailed by Boston University and then Vermont, which beat Dartmouth Sunday. Maine finished up the rankings at No. 15.
