From U.S. Camp to U.S. Team in One Month<\/h1>\n

Princeton sophomore Liz Keady was named to her first U.S. national team on Thursday – a feat all the more remarkable given that she was not even on the U.S. Under-22 roster six weeks ago. But Keady broke through with an outstanding effort at August’s U.S. National Festival in Lake Placid, and when UMD’s Larissa Luther was unable to compete due to her pregnancy, Keady became a late addition to the Under-22 series. There she shined in a first line role with Minnesota stars Natalie Darwitz and Kelly Stephens, and now all three are among the first 15 players named for the U.S. senior national team<\/a> for the Four Nations Cup. The roster includes eight current college players, and one first-timer other than Keady – Dartmouth junior Tiffany Hagge. U.S. college players also made up 13 of the 40 players named to the Canadian Thanksgiving Festival, which will serve as the selection camp for the next Canadian national team.
