Lukas Dora, who scored the winning goal in Denver’s national semifinal victory on Thursday, has been suspended for Saturday night’s championship game against Maine.<\/p>\n
Dora, a senior from Lednice, Czech Republic, violated team policy, according to a school news release. A Denver spokesman said further details on the suspension would not be released.<\/p>\n
In a statement, Pioneers coach George Gwozdecky said Ted O’Leary will replace Dora in the lineup.<\/p>\n
Dora is third on the Denver scoring charts with 36 points, 14 of them from goals. But one of his biggest came just two days before the championship game, when he broke a 3-3 tie in the third period against Minnesota-Duluth.
