Forrest<\/a> missed his team&#8217;s opening game of the season at Vermont and is out indefinitely pending resolution of an unspecified academic eligibility issue.<\/p>\n<p>Forrest, a second-team All-American and Hockey East All-Star last season, is not expected back at least until the team&#8217;s fourth game of the season and possibly longer. Forrest had six goals and 25 assists for 31 points last year. He is an alternate captain for BC.<\/p>\n<p>The second-ranked Eagles travel to East Lansing, Mich., for the Ice Breaker Tournament Oct. 10-11, where they will meet Minnesota-Duluth and then either host Michigan State or Findlay. The following week, Oct. 17-18, the Eagles visit North Dakota.<\/p>\n<p>BC, the preseason favorite in Hockey East, won its opening game at Vermont, 5-3, without Forrest and sophomore forwards Chris Collins and Patrick Eaves. Collins was sidelined after an unspecified violation of team rules, while Eaves was serving the final game of a suspension that carried over from last season.<\/p>\n<p>Both forwards are expected to return for the Ice Breaker.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Boston College senior defenseman J.D.
