One night after taking a 9-3 win over Minnesota, second-ranked Michigan State played to a 3-3 tie with the No. 4 Gophers at Munn Ice Arena in East Lansing, Mich.<\/p>\n

The Spartans then earned the extra standings point by winning the shootout.<\/p>\n
