Chloe Kinsel’s power-play goal at 9:36 of overtime gave Wisconsin-River Falls a 4-3 win over Elmira and a berth in the Division III women’s championship game Saturday night against Plattsburgh.<\/p>\n
The game was tight, with the score tied after each period from the Stafford Arena on Plattsburgh’s campus.<\/p>\n
Kinsel, Carly Moran and Dani Sibley each posted a goal and an assist for the Falcons (23-5-2), while Haley Nielsen also scored.<\/p>\n
River Falls goalie Angie Hall finished with 15 saves.<\/p>\n
For the Soaring Eagles, Maddie Evangelous registered two goals and an assist. Maddy Jerolman added a goal and two assists and Louisa Lippiatt Durnell chipped in assists on each goal.<\/p>\n
In goal, Kyle Nelson turned aside 27 shots for Elmira (22-5-1).<\/p>\n
