MINNEAPOLIS<\/b> — Hudson Fasching scored a pair of first-period goals, and No. 19 Minnesota held off a Northeastern rally for a 4-3 win on Saturday.<\/p>\n
The Gophers (2-3) swept the nonconference series from the Huskies (1-4), including a 4-0 win on Friday.<\/p>\n
Minnesota opened up a 4-1 lead after one period, with Fasching scoring early and late in the period around Michael Brodzinski and Leon Bristedt goals.<\/p>\n
Sam Kurker and Eric Williams scored in the second period to pull Northeastern back into the game, but Minnesota held the Huskies off the scoreboard the rest of the way.<\/p>\n
