PRINCETON, N.J. — Mary Parker scored a goal and added an assist, and Sarah Edney tallied two assists to lead Harvard to a 3-2 victory over Princeton on Friday.

After a scoreless first period, Jaimie McDonell opened the scoring 38 seconds into the second, poking home a feed from Ali Pankowski to give the Tigers the first lead of the game.

But the Crimson answered swiftly, as Sydney Daniels scored just 15 seconds later, and Samantha Reber followed with a tally at 3:21 to give Harvard a 2-1 lead.

The Tigers offense came back in the third, taking advantage of an early power play, as Brianna Leahy poked home a rebound to knot the game 2-2.

But with a power play of their own, Parker’s game winner came with six and a half minutes remaining, and the Crimson defense held on for the regulation win.

Emerance Maschmeyer made 22 saves in the victory for Harvard. Kimberly Newell made 20 saves for Princeton.
