ITHACA, N.Y. –<\/strong> The Big Red scored twice in the third period to beat Yale 3-2 Saturday and clinch a share of the ECAC regular season title. Cornell can clinch the top seed for the playoffs outright with a win or a tie next weekend, or a Union tie or loss. <\/span><\/p>\n

Freshman Tristan Mullin scored twice for the Big Red, including the game-winner at 18:13 in the third. Yanni Kaldis had two assists, while Matthew Galajda made 30 saves for the win. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Bulldogs, who entered the night with the worst power play in Division I, got power play goals from Phil Kemp and Charlie Curti.<\/span><\/p>\n
