Boston College traveled out to Las Vegas for the inaugural Ice Vegas Invitational as slight favorites in the four-team field. In the end, the Eagles left without a victory and a fourth-place finish.<\/span><\/p>\n

A night after falling, 4-3, to Michigan Tech in the semifinals, Boston College skated to a 3-3 tie with Northern Michigan in the consolation game. Northern Michigan\u2019s Robbie Payne and Darien Craighead scored the only two goals of the shootout to earn third place in the tournament.<\/span><\/p>\n

Northern Michigan led for much of the game before the Eagles took their first lead of the weekend. After Julius Mattila tied the score at 2 with 32 seconds remaining in the second, David Cotton scored with 10:43 left in regulation to give BC the lead.<\/span><\/p>\n
