The period ended with a 1-0 lead for Middlebury, including a 24-8 shot advantage. <\/p>\n<p>Plattsburgh had a great chance to tie the game with 11 minutes left, but Christian Carlsson stopped Joe Dolci on a breakaway. <\/p>\n<p>The Panthers took a 2-0 lead 12:23 into the third period when Foote intercepted a pass and ripped home a slap shot from just inside the blue line. <\/p>\n<p>Scott Goldman added a short-handed, empty-netter to close out the win at 19:09.
