Middlebury earned back-to-back shutouts on its opening weekend with a 8-0 win over St. Anselm on Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n

The Panthers opened the scoring just 1:43 in the game when Adam Foote found Matt Dunn, who wristed a shot to the top left corner from the top of the slot. <\/p>\n

Middlebury made it a 2-0 game when J.F. Duchesne took a drop pass from Erick Dalton and then broke to the goal to find the back of the net.<\/p>\n

The Panthers took a 3-0 lead in the second period with some nice passing resulting in Dunn’s second goal of the game. <\/p>\n

Just 58 seconds later, Matt Snyder put home a rebound to make it a 4-0 game. <\/p>\n

Adam Foote added a pair of goals, while Jack Kennedy and Matt Snyder added solo goals to make the final score 8-0. Cooper and Goldman ended the night with three assists apiece.<\/p>\n

Marc Scheuer made 13 saves in goal for his first career shutout in his first career start. Michael Waugh made 39 saves in goal for St. Anselm.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
