{"id":1099,"date":"2000-10-21T18:36:37","date_gmt":"2000-10-21T23:36:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.uscho.com\/2000\/10\/21\/one-man-gang-bisson-leads-canisius-over-wayne-state\/"},"modified":"2010-08-23T11:54:24","modified_gmt":"2010-08-23T16:54:24","slug":"one-man-gang-bisson-leads-canisius-over-wayne-state","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wp-admin.uscho.com\/recaps\/2000\/10\/21\/one-man-gang-bisson-leads-canisius-over-wayne-state\/","title":{"rendered":"One-Man Gang Bisson Leads Canisius Over Wayne State"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Senior Todd Bisson scored two goals for Canisius College, including the game-winner three minutes into overtime, to give Canisius a 2-1 victory over Wayne State University Saturday night at the Fraser Ice Arena.<\/p>\n<p>Bisson took a chip pass from freshman Joe D&#8217;Urzo along the left board and delivered a slapshot from inside the blue line that beat Warrior goalie Marc Carlson inside the right goalpost.<\/p>\n<p>After a scoreless first period, Wayne State (1-4-0) jumped on the scoreboard at the 10:05 mark of the second period on a goal by Jarrett Gibbons that slipped by the right side of Canisius goalie junior Sean Weaver.<\/p>\n<p>The Ice Griffs were unable to take advantage of a late power play in the second period, and the Warriors took a 1-0 lead into the third.<\/p>\n<p>Wayne State&#8217;s goal held up until late, when junior Corey Lucas won a faceoff to the left of Carlson and sophomore Marc Bouffard slid a pass in the slot to Bisson, who beat Carlson in the top right corner to tie the score.<\/p>\n<p>Weaver stymied the Warriors throughout the evening, making 24 saves for the win.
