{"id":1091,"date":"2000-10-21T23:12:35","date_gmt":"2000-10-22T04:12:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.uscho.com\/2000\/10\/21\/bisson-scores-ot-winner-for-canisius-in-2-1-win-over-wayne-state\/"},"modified":"2010-08-23T11:54:24","modified_gmt":"2010-08-23T16:54:24","slug":"bisson-scores-ot-winner-for-canisius-in-2-1-win-over-wayne-state","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wp-admin.uscho.com\/recaps\/2000\/10\/21\/bisson-scores-ot-winner-for-canisius-in-2-1-win-over-wayne-state\/","title":{"rendered":"Bisson Scores OT Winner for Canisius in 2-1 Win over Wayne State"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Senior Todd Bisson scored two goals, including the game-winner three minutes into overtime to give Canisius a 2-1 victory over Wayne State on Saturday night at the Fraser Ice Arena.<\/p>\n<p>Bisson took a chip pass from freshman Joe D&#8217;Urzo along the left boards and delivered a slap shot from inside the blue line that beat Warriors&#8217; goalie Marc Carlson inside the right goalpost.<\/p>\n<p>After a scoreless first period, Wayne State (1-4-0) jumped on the scoreboard at the 10:05 mark of the second period on a goal by Jarrett Gibbons that slipped by the right side of Canisius goalie junior Sean Weaver. The Ice Griffs were unable to take advantage of a late power play in the second period and the Warriors took a 1-0 lead into the third period.<\/p>\n<p>Wayne State&#8217;s goal held up until late in the third period, when junior Corey Lucas won a faceoff to the left of Carlson and sophomore Marc Bouffard slid a pass in the slot to Bisson, who beat Carlson in the top right corner to tie the score.<\/p>\n<p>Weaver stymied the Warriors throughout the evening, making 24 saves for the win.
