After a scoreless first period, Wayne State (1-4-0) jumped on the scoreboard at the 10:05 mark of the second period on a goal by Jarrett Gibbons that slipped by the right side of Canisius goalie junior Sean Weaver. The Ice Griffs were unable to take advantage of a late power play in the second period and the Warriors took a 1-0 lead into the third period.<\/p>\n
Wayne State’s goal held up until late in the third period, when junior Corey Lucas won a faceoff to the left of Carlson and sophomore Marc Bouffard slid a pass in the slot to Bisson, who beat Carlson in the top right corner to tie the score.<\/p>\n
