Freshman Jerilyn Glenn scored two third-period goals to seal Minnesota’s 6-2 victory over Ohio State on Saturday at Mariucci Arena.<\/p>\n

Glenn’s goals, her first two of the season, gave the Gophers a 5-2 lead. La Toya Clarke scored later in the third for the Gophers for the final margin.<\/p>\n

Ohio State outshot Minnesota 22-19 and won 41 of the 54 faceoffs but Gophers goaltender Erica Killewald made 20 saves for the victory. The Buckeyes’ April Stojak made 13 saves.<\/p>\n

The Buckeyes jumped out to an early lead when Emma Laaksonen scored on the power play at 7:10 of the opening period, but Ambria Thomas and Kris Scholz scored before the period was over to give Minnesota a 2-1 lead.<\/p>\n

Ohio State limited the Gophers to just two shots in second period but one was a goal by Courtney Kennedy.<\/p>\n
